2-Day The Most Classic Great Wall Tour

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Badaling Great Wall which was the first section of the Great Wall opened to public. It climbs across superb mountain scenery 75 kilometers north-west of Beijing. The battlements and watchtowers are high and steep in places, and provide wonderful views across the hills. This section of the Great Wall has the most comprehensive tour services of all sections of the Great Wall, including a circular-screen cinema, the Great Wall Museum, shopping and dining facilities, as well as barrier-free structures for the disabled. Lunch is at a great local restaurant which caters to a wide variety of tastes. Pay a visit to the Cloisonné factory where Cloisonné are made by traditional methods. In the afternoon, we will drive to the Juyongguan Great Wall which is 30 minutes from the Badaling section. Meandering along the precipitous mountains, the Juyongguan section was a crucial pass of the Great Wall. The wall resembles various shapes, among which the most famous is the unique shape resembling '人' (people). You will have an overnight stay at Shambhala at the Great Wall. The Shambhala is in a private valley surrounded by mountains. It has an unrestored part of the Great Wall and a stream running through it, which provides a rustic charm.

Today, you will visit another section of the Great Wall – Mutianyu – which is less visited than other sections. It is surrounded by a wonderful landscape and possesses unique characteristics in its construction. It has a rarely seen structure composed by three watchtowers connected to each other from inside. A cable car is available to help visitors up and down. You will be transferred back to the city after lunch which is at a great local restaurant near Mutianyu.
