Tianmen Square

 

The Palace Museum

The Tiananmen is the largest open-urban square in the world. The Palace Museum, former home to the Ming and Qing emperors, is also known as the Forbidden City (Zijincheng).

The Summer Palace, used to be a summer residence of Qing Dynasty emperors and is now a public park. The Hutong has a very special and important position in the rich history and cultureof Beijing.

Ming Tombs

The Temple of Heaven is where the Emperor came every winter solstice to worship heaven and to solemnly pray for a good harvest. 50 kilometers northwest from Beijing City lies the Ming Tombs - the general name given to the mausoleums of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty

Water Cube

"Bird's Nest", also named the National Stadium, which was the main venue of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Water Cube, known as National Aquatics Center, which located in Beijing Olympic Green, it was mainly designed by engineers John Pauline and Toby Wong.
   
     

Beihai Park

 

Grand View Garden

This park in the center of Beijing has an area of more than 70 hectares with a water surface of 39 hectares.

Located in Xuanwu District southwest of Beijing, the Grand View Garden is reminiscent of a luxurious garden of Ming and Qing style.
   
     

Beijing Zoo

 

Marco Polo Bridge

Beijing Zoo, situated to the west of Beijing Exhibition Center, was known for a short time after the founding of the People's Republic as the Western Suburbs Park. The Marco Polo Bridge is located 15 kilometers southwest of Beijing proper. Known also as the Guangli Bridge, it spans the banks of the Yongding River.

Underground City

The Drum and Bell towers are situated at the northern end of the central axis of the Beijing Inner City to the north of Di' anmen Street.

The largest underground city in the world has another nickname: the Great Wall Underground.
